Pull the Lever
Made in a team of 7 people during the summer 2022 semester of Alternative Game Development at the University of Utah. I pitched this game as a way to bring the famous trolley problem to life.
Details
The Game uses Unity’s scriptable object system to store Trolley Scenarios for the player to play out. These scriptable objects were used to define a quiz at the start of the game and then then a corresponding simulation of the scenario. Afterward the player is confronted with what their quiz answers were and what the actual scenarios were.
Player Feedback
An interesting development of using real proportions for the models in this game was that many players complained about not being able to see the scenarios till it was too late.
This was emergent but we as a team decided that this complaint emphasized our point better, so we did not change it.
